Summary :
Provides Social Services to Behavioral Health ServicesDepartment, conducts group counseling and lectures, participates inweekly clinical staffing sessions.
Participates in referraldevelopment, community education and outreach activities, reviewsemotional, behavioral and social assessments.
Requirements :
A. Education / Skills
Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical SocialWorker or Master of Social Worker preferred. An LMSW or PLPC wouldbe considered with understanding that LPC / LCSW / MSW / LMSW license isexpected within 3 years of employment.
General knowledge ofpsychosocial principles; procedures, techniques of acceptablepatient care, grief, loss, and related counseling skills.
B. Experience
2years experience as a salaried (as opposed to volunteer) socialworker with at least 1 year counseling experience in mental healthfield preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, orCertifications
- Current LouisianaLPC / LCSW / MSW / LMSW license required.
- CurrentCPR and recertified every 2 years.
- Current De-escalation or completion within 90 days of employmentand recertified annually
