Job Summary :

The System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the smooth administration, maintenance and security of our company’s on-premise and cloud based network and server architecture.

Their duties include server and network administration, security, support, and coordinating with IT team members to determine new technologies that streamlines business processes.

This is a position for candidates with a drive and aptitude to provide expert IT solutions and services in a health care setting.

This position requires you to work both independently and collaboratively with other members of the IT team. The successful candidate has a strong attention to detail and follows through on projects, issues and incidents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform systems engineering tasks and activities that are concentrated on major systems design, integration, implementation, operations support, and training
  • Configuring, troubleshooting and monitoring Windows Server physical and virtual environments
  • Experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring and troubleshooting network routers, switches, firewalls, access points
  • Administration of Active Directory and Azure AD, including user and group administration and group policy management
  • Configure and manage hybrid Azure environment to configure VMs, Storage, Network and Security resources
  • Configuration and management of ShoreTel VOIP system
  • Configuration and management of Genesys Cloud CX solution
  • Administer and manage daily backups and restoration of business critical systems on and off premise including Backup Exec, Datto, Azure and AWS
  • Assists with implementing and maintaining the company’s anti-virus and end point security platforms to ensure servers and computers are protected from all forms of malicious software, viruses, ransomware and security intrusions
  • Identify technology needs for continued growth and success of the company, identify proactive solutions, and research and identify new products to improve business efficiency
  • Perform user account administration including setup, rights, email distribution and security groups
  • Provide escalation support to internal support and applications teams and MSPs
  • Reviews and analyzes system, application, and other event logs to troubleshoot issues
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of network and server security to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Compose infrastructure diagrams, process workflows, policy documents, and training materials as assigned
  • Provide Tier 2-3 support as needed

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • CCNA, MCSA Certification or equivalent certifications preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience working as a system admin or similar position
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a service desk tech or like position
  • Strong understanding of layer, 1, layer 2 network protocols (VLANs and Trunking) and layer 3 protocols (TCP / IP, EIGRP, OSPF) required
  • Experience configuring and managing Meraki firewall, routers and switches
  • PowerShell or other automation and scripting experience
  • Experience with troubleshooting and deploying Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 Servers
  • Experience architecting and deploying Azure resources
  • Knowledge of HIPPA privacy and Security rules
  • Uncompromising integrity and transparency in dealing with employees, executive leadership, external auditors, customers, prospects, and investors.
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected patient information.
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be customer service oriented
  • Experience managing AD, Group Policy, Azure, Hyper-V Clustering
  • Experience administering Office 365 environments
  • Programming experience in Python, Perl or other language preferred
  • Experience managing MSSQL Server preferred
  • Knowledge of Unix System administration preferred
  • Experience with managing Genesys Cloud CX, Salesforce preferred
  • Experience with managing SAGE 100, Biz Insights and / or Crystal Reports preferred
  • Experience with BackupExec, Datto or similar disaster recovery solutions preferred
  • Experience managing Dell Unity Storage Array preferred
