About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Experience : Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred License : Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice Certifications : American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have : Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Job Description : Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.- Evaluate health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
- Perform health teaching and health counseling.- Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching others.
- Execute delegated medical functions.- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.- Use resources as needed.- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abide by service behavior standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.- May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business needs.
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
