Jobot is conducting a search for an experienced commercial liability attorney to join a growing midsized law firm in Los Angeles.

This career opportunity is with a women owned full service defense firm that represents domestic and international businesses and individuals in complex litigation and trial for labor and employment, professional liability, general liability, business litigation & transactions, class actions, and education law matters.

The firm has three office locations across the state.

The partners are seeking an attorney with 4+ years of substantive experience handling general liability or professional liability cases for businesses, design professionals, directors and officers, insurance companies, and other miscellaneous professionals (accountants, business associations, real estate brokers, financial advisors, etc.

Their practice does not include medical or legal malpractice. Interested candidates should be comfortable working autonomously through all stages of litigation and have significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice in state and federal courts.

Other job responsibilities include :

• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Assist in relationship development / management of prospective and current clients
• Effectively communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
