Registered Nurse (Per Diem), Outpatient Medical Oncology Infusion

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per-diem Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Medical Oncology at Morristown Medical Center to work 7 : 30AM - 5 : 30PM, including one weekend per month.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities :

Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.

Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

• Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
• Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Minimum Education :

• Completion of an accredited nursing program required
• BSN preferred

Minimum Experience :

• 1-2 years experience in oncology outpatient
• Must be knowledgeable in VAD
• Strong IV skills
• Knowledge of the complex care needed for oncology patients in an outpatient setting
• Good time management skills
• Team-player

Licenses / Certifications :

• Valid New Jersey RN license required
• BLS required
• Oncology certification preferred
