This position is responsible for the proper installation,operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Responsibilitiesinclude inspecting, testing and performing system checks inaccordance to fire code;
identifying code and system deficienciesand preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residentialbuildings.
Test and repair alarm systemsalready in place
Perform inspections to ensurealarms are installed according to code.
Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.
Report results of work completed in anaccurate and timely manner.
Protect andmaintain company equipment.
Inspect andmaintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repairrequests as necessary to maintain safe operation.
Operate warehouse equipment, includingvehicles, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading ofthe truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer'ssafety instructions for that equipment.
Workin a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures includingdriver safety and personal protective equipment.
Respond to emergency service calls.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Perform other duties assigned bymanagement.
Education / Qualification :
NICET certification preferred (requires priorexperience or training)
Knowledge of NFPAstandards a plus (including 70 and 72)
Experience with commercial and residential systems
Troubleshooting skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a teamenvironment as well as work independently.
Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportationto / from the office or job site.
Must beflexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally willrequire evening, weekend and / or out-of-town assignments.
Requires the ability to display knowledge ofprinciples and practices of fire safety.
Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulationsrelated to the work.
Requires the ability todisplay knowledge of basic practices of reviewing officialdocuments for completeness and accuracy.
Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity.
Requires the ability to recognize and reportdeviations through inspection programs.
Requires the ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicablelaws, codes, and regulations.
Requires theability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Requires the ability to understand and followoral and written directions.
Requires theability to use or repair small / light equipment, such as powertools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery.

Physical Requirements :
While performing the essential functions ofthis job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, usehands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop,kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to liftand / or move heavy objects.
