Within the broader CSOE, Teacher Education is continuously searching for subject matter and field experts to join our adjunct faculty team.
Below are the qualifications, duties, responsibilities, and skills that Alliant requires from applicants for an Adjunct professor position :
Starting Salary : $36 (based on experience).
Qualifications :
- Education : A Master's, Doctoral, or other terminal degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Certifications : Valid credential or License, in the field of teacher education.
- Experience : A minimum of three years relevant experience in the area(s) and / or field(s) of specialization and expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Facilitating an asynchronous online CANVAS classroom.
- Coordination and planning of course curriculum utilizing rubrics for assessment and measurement of candidate learning outcomes.
- Mentoring and supporting candidates.
Skills :
- Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- The ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
- The ability to explain complex requirements in clear and concise terms.
- The ability to be flexible with workflow to meet the needs of the department and students and to manage multiple tasks per required deadlines.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member and develop trusting relationships with students and Alliant employees.
- Culturally competent and able to communicate and interact effectively with diverse people.
