Overview

Hearst Television (HTV) seeks an experienced Motion Designer with exceptional design, organizational and communication skills to join HTV Design, our centralized graphics team located in Winter Park, FL. This position is in-person and responsible for creating custom video explainers, infographics, and storytelling elements featured in local or group stories across all platforms including broadcast, web, app and social. Candidates should be motivated and able to manage multiple design projects simultaneously. You will report to the News Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Work with HTV Design, Hearst Television newsrooms and Data Journalists to create impactful motion designs focused on storytelling, explainers, and infographics with a focus on organizing and distilling data sets into easy-to-understand visuals
• Emphasis on motion design and storytelling
• Work in a collaborative, hands on, and results-driven environment
• Build professional relationships with editorial team leads, journalists and designers at Hearst Television
