Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Software Engineer for the PCW Solution Engineering team at CVS Health.

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions.

In this role, the senior software engineer is expected to carry a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities and mentoring other members of the engineering community.

A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role.

Required Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience and proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, and microservices
• 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, etc.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience developing microservices and cloud-native apps using Java / J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA (Java Persistence API) (or any other ORM), Spring Security and similar tech stacks (Open source and proprietary)
• Experience working with Unit testing using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave
• Ability to build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc. as part of CI / CD process
• Experience working in an Agile-based development environment
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar
• Experience with AI / ML technologies
• Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in developer communities
• Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical challenges
• Skilled in working effectively across different teams and departments, building strong relationships and driving collective success

Education :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range :

The typical pay range for this role is : $101,970.00 - $203,940.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
