Cash Applications Specialist

Job Title

Processing of transactions including but not limited to, general ledger entries, suspense ledgers, contract payments, payment uploads, contract payment suspense items and end of lease payments. Monitoring incoming electronic funds (ach credits, wires) in the appropriate bank accounts. Researching and resolving payments in the Lockbox Online. Processing of exception batches for payments from lockbox, COLT and CDA. Quality reviews or maintenance from ACH Authorization forms for lease contract payments, monitoring email boxes, monitoring checks in the CAT system. Working with other U.S. Bank business lines on misdirected payments. Completing End of Day balancing activities and special reporting. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions processed. Conducts research on discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections or adjustments. Responds to and resolves inquiries.

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means theres an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Basic Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - Two to four years or more of operations services related work experience

Preferred Skills / Experience - Knowledge of products, services, terminology, procedures and systems related to assigned area, as well as applicable laws and regulatory requirements - Proven commitment to high quality customer service - Ability to work well with external and internal customers - Good time management skills to maximize production and execution of tasks in a fast-paced environment - Good understanding and knowledge of internal policies and procedures within Operations Services and enterprise wide - Physical requirements could include lifting trays of work, pushing carts of work, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and repetitive motions - Ability to identify, analyze and resolve exceptions through data interpretation - Strong PC skills -Good verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
