We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who desires to establish a long-term position within a collaborative and dynamic firm which has a holistic and creative approach to the legal services we provide.

There will be opportunities for immediate client interaction and file management. The ability to work independently, to efficiently and effectively handle large volumes of work, and to prioritize top-quality work products is essential.

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial consultations with clients and manage client files through completion.
- Understand and analyze clients' goals, needs, and concerns to determine the most efficient and cost-effective strategic solution.
- Prepare both basic and comprehensive wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents.
- Effectively and confidently communicate with clients to help them understand complex legal concepts including : plans for dispersing their assets, asset allocation, beneficiary designations, estate tax ramifications, planned giving, and other legal matters that may arise given each unique client situation.
- Demonstrate, and work to develop, outstanding communication skills so that clients feel heard and supported.
- Effectively manage client matters in a timely manner, while still producing high-quality work products.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Minnesota State Bar.
- 2+ years experience as a practicing estate planning attorney preferred.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning laws, regulations, and planning strategies.
- Experience working with individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries.
- Excellent drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills - both verbal and written - particularly in stressful or emotional situations.
- Ability to work independently, while still engaging in teamwork and collaboration.
