SUMMARY
Branch or Area Branch Managers are trusted advisors within the communities we operate. Leading a team of retail associates in the branch and driving growth in core deposits and loans is the primary focus.
As a leader within the community, this position is responsible for being a primary channel of commerce and assisting our clients in making the right financial choices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Increase market share by building long-term relationships with local businesses.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of dedicated banking professionals.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of operations and identify opportunities to optimize processes and enhance service levels.
- Lead the branch to achieve established sales goals by generating referral business, new accounts, and management of current clients’ accounts.
- Management of and total accountability for a branch office in meeting administrative, compliance, operational, sales, service, and profitability objectives of the bank.
- Make regular business development calls to solicit new business (loans, deposits) and / or improve services to clients.
- Oversee and / or train / guide staff to provide clients with appropriate Bank products and services.
- Ensure that staff members provide continuous quality service to clients.
- Represent the bank in the community through involvement in various civic and charitable activities.
- Set annual personal performance plan / goals and weekly sales plan / goals for the branch staff.
- Build / enhance business relationships with clients.
- Arrange for appropriate training and cross-training of staff when needed.
- Address and resolve human resource issues.
- Oversee / monitor performance of operations staff to ensure all policies / procedures are compliant with bank guidelines.
- Ensure a satisfactory branch audit is met.
- Maintain safety and security for our clients and team members.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations.
- Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to your position and job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA / AML / CIP, Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACT-Identity Theft, Information Technology, and GLBA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of (5) years’ work experience, which must be directly related to branch processes and functions.
- Excellent level of problem-solving capabilities to establish potential alternatives and solutions to problems.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Broad range of Bank and / or Savings Operational experience.
- Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to redirect priorities based upon current workload.
- Excellent knowledge of consumer and business banking products.
- Experience with Fiserv or other major core and reporting applications is desired.
- Understanding of Windows-based personal computers.
- Understanding of word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably Word and Excel.
