About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Telemetry Job Specialty : Med Surg Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hour Variable Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year (travel experience accepted) License : Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certifications : - RN : BLS, ACLS - LPN : BLS Must-Have : - RN : Telemetry experience, IV skills, central line management, cardiac drips with titration, ability to perform nebulizer treatments, competence with high flow O2, ability to mix own medications via video conference with pharmacy - LPN : IV start / management skills, nebulizer treatments Job Description : Work on a 12-bed unit with single and double occupancy rooms.
- Accept various patient types including medical and transitional (swing bed) patients.- Handle diagnoses such as PNA, COVID, long-term antibiotics, endocarditis, comfort care, ETOH withdrawal, hyponatremia, CHF, COPD, and Afib.
- Manage patient ratios of RN / LPN : 1 : 5-6, dependent on acuity.- Collaborate with support staff including 1 CNA tech per shift.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system for documentation.- Float to the ER as needed, providing support as helping hands.- Engage in a weekend rotation every other weekend.
- Be available for on-call duties during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (1 shift required).- Work every other holiday, with time-off discussions during the interview.
- Wear navy blue scrubs as the designated color.
