Manager I, Central Staffing (226 Days)-(RTP20240618-001)
Description
- Develop and oversee staffing processes for incoming candidates to the district for auxiliary systems including background, certification and contracts.
- Supervise the administration of criminal background checks and certification validation for incoming employees who hold certification / licensure requirements.
- Serve as resource person to administrators and employees on certification issues, act as liaison with certification compliance team.
- Consult with state and federal programs to ensure staffing functions are executed within regulations and guidelines set forth by the respective entities.
- Attend various project development and process meetings or partnering sessions and assist in identifying methods to expedite the hiring process.
- Research best practices and trends from other school districts and corporations to build efficient department staffing processes.
- Support the leadership team of HCM to ensure the department is able to meet its hiring goals.
- Using data, develop and oversee implementation of a staffing plan.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Five years of related experience, preferably education in an urban setting.
- Experience leading and supervising other professionals.
- Demonstrated achievement in previous work.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including keen attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and work to find solutions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data in adherence to local, state and district regulations.
- Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimum direction and supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written format.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office Professional applications, Google, Taleo and Oracle.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
