Armand Corporation, an award-winning M / WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Civil Structural Geotechnical Engineer to join our construction management team.
This position will be involved in different aspects of a federal construction project related to complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in NY & NJ.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college related to architecture or construction engineering or architecture, as well as at least 5 years of experience with geotechnical and structural codes and systems in a construction setting.
This position will be full-time, On-site in Jersey City, New Jersey . JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following : Reviewing construction documents, calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards.
Developing project scope of work and structural design, for various structural types, including bridges, rails, and transit facilities Deliver documents to various city agencies for review and approval.
Research existing building status from City records at various agencies. Manage electronic TAA submissions, analyzing and reviewing designs, documents, and geotechnical structural calculations as needed.
Communicate with facilities to process TAA and design audit projects. Assure project compliance with building codes and standards.
Attend meetings with architects and engineers to review comments and resolve issues as necessary. Perform related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following : A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college related to architecture or construction engineering or architecture At least 5 years of experience with geotechnical and structural codes and systems in a construction setting.
Experience acting as an intermediary between tenants & facilities and in-house application reviewers to ensure smooth workflow Proper understanding of civil, structural, and geotechnical design principles relating to the construction of transportation facilities.
Fluent in English with strong verbal / written communication skills Professional Engineer’s license in State of New York and / or New Jersey. Powered by JazzHR
