Role Overview
Reporting to the CMO of eternalHealth, the Medicare STAR Manager will align with the executive team, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders to create, plan, execute, monitor and manage a comprehensive Medicare STAR management strategy for eternalHealth.
Essential Functions
Leads enterprise STAR related data strategy, including companyroadmap, data governance, dashboard creation and maintenance
Manages critical STAR-related programs offeredby health plan vendors
Leads strategy for alignment around Population Health and Network teams for member and provider gap closure outreach
Manages critical STAR program alignments with our Third Party Administrator
Leads procurement cycles for new STAR-related services and vendors, from the creationof the RFPs through onboarding
Leads all internal and external stakeholder reporting related to STAR management
Supports collection of new data sources / feeds and integrates them into operations
Develops data analysistools and deliversdata driven insights
Supports internal and vendor data submissions
Develops and executesproject plans with business owners and independently
Manages day-to-day operations to support STAR program success
Serves as a subject matter expert for the organization on various aspects of STAR management
Proactively manages changesin project scope,identifying potential crisesand devising contingency plans
Provides timely reporting to accountable executive on project status, inclusive of accomplishments, deliverables, planned actions and barriers
Defines project successcriteria and disseminated to affected partiesthroughout the project life cycle
Identify resources needed and assignsindividual responsibilities
Creates, reviews, and disseminates projectgovernance and progressstatus documents
Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervise projectteam members and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of at least 5 years of health plan experience managing a multi-contract Medicare STAR program to success
Bachelor’s Degreerequired
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Master’s degree in businessadministration, healthcare administration, or related field preferred
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and / or external partners / stakeholders.
Have knowledgearound industry best practices and regulatory compliant reporting
Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and health plan as anindependent contributor with little supervision or as an active team member depending on the situation and needs.
Strong technicalskills, including with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) and other collaborative internal and external management tools
