Shift : Night 4x12-Hour (6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM); Consideration for 3x12s
Guaranteed Hours : Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience required
License : SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIH Required
Must-Have :
- Med / Surg experience required
- Preferred : Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
Job Description :
- Provide quality medical-surgical nursing care to patients
- Manage a 1 : 6-1 : 7 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Work every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Be prepared to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Accommodate block schedule requests subject to prior approval
- Utilize Epic charting system
Miscellaneous Requirements :
- Complete a 16-hour orientation
- Completion of non-billable modules, approximately 4 hours, prior to start
- Flu vaccine required with exceptions for medical or religious reasons
Additional Information :
- Candidates should avoid accepting extensions during hurricane season (June - November), especially in August and September.
- Ensure all requested time off is submitted during application to align with facility needs.
