Registered Nurse - Weekend Med / Surg
We are offering a special summer incentive for external applicants with 1 or more years of experience. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 with a 3-year commitment and vacation accrual based on RN experience.
- Assume responsibility for a group of patients and provide care utilizing the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and human resources.
- Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicate with colleagues to expand knowledge base and offer constructive feedback to assist in professional development.
- Receive patient bedside shift report at the beginning of each shift, delegate patient care tasks to assigned HCT's, and validate completion of tasks throughout the shift.
- Complete and document basic RN patient care activities, meet documentation standards, and provide patient medications utilizing the patient 5 Rights.
- Maintain patient safety as the highest priority level and promote a healthy work environment and a healing patient environment.
- Effectively communicate within the healthcare team to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, effective patient care coordination, and patient safety.
