Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a TX or compact license, Epic experience, and proficiency in circulating orthopedic cases.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room within an acute care settingEvening shifts from 3 : 00pm to 11 : 00pm, Monday through Friday, with required call7 surgical suites with approximately 15 cases per dayCommon cases include orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, hand procedures, podiatry, general, plastics, urology, GYN, ENT, and ophthalmic surgeriesNo scrubbing required for RNs, circulating role onlyUses Epic EMR, previous Epic experience requiredMust be available for weeknight, weekend, and holiday call with a response time within 45 minutesMay float to other operating rooms if neededOR scrubs are provided by the hospitalProvide circulating nursing care during a variety of surgical proceduresCollaborate with OR techs and other surgical staff as part of a dedicated teamUnit-specific orientation provided for 3-4 daysFree parking available on-siteMust comply with hospital holiday, call, and dress code requirementsCandidates cannot have worked as direct employees (FT, PT, or PRN) at facilities associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity, within the past yearRequirements
Active TX or compact RN license at time of considerationCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 3 years of recent operating room RN experienceMust have circulating experience with orthopedic casesExperience in specialties such as ortho, general, plastics, urology, GYN, ENT, and ophthalmology preferredEpic EMR experience requiredDriver's license must be provided for consideration2 professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 yearsBenefits
