The Senior Software / FinOps Engineer is responsible for providing tools and expertise to support teams across the org in visualizing and optimizing their costs while meeting their development objectives.

They also act as a key evangelist for cost optimization within the organization.

As a Senior Software / FinOps Engineer a Typical Day Might Include the Following :

• Work with Software Architects to provide cross-team cost optimization governance for the Cxone R&D team
• Ensure strong communication, alignment, and collaboration between development teams, Product Management, Operations, and Quality Assurance
• Ensure that cost optimization guidelines and decisions are documented, aligned, and executed across the development organization
• Help create a culture of cost optimization across the board
• Help create visibility and reporting around cost-optimization initiatives
• Willing to learn new tools and languages regularly
• Ensures cost effective design of new services while fostering a culture of continuous cost-optimization
• Ensure that the NICE non-functional requirements standards are followed to ensure proper security, cost optimization, and high availability standards.
• Foster strong teamwork environment and create passion and energy across teams.
• Work with product management team to define cost optimization requirements
• Represents self and department with professionalism and competence.
• Follow the company Code of Ethics and NICE policies and procedures at all times.

To Land This Gig You'll Need :

• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience working in systems with a focus on non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and cost
• Understanding of micro service architecture and principles
• Working Knowledge of CI / CD
• Experience with AWS services and cost-optimization methods and tools
• Excellent problem solving abilities.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Working Knowledge of design patterns.
• Working Knowledge of Agile development processes
• Strong communication skills
• Strong quality orientation
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Experience :

• MS in Computer Science
• 1+ years of technical leadership
• Experience as a technical or team lead or equivalent experience.
• Experience with telecommunications / telephony
• Experience with call centers
