About The Team :

We’re a small but highly efficient People team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist to join us. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of HR activities, including onboarding, systems, benefits, employee relations, performance management & training, policy development, and compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations.

This role requires that you be present in our San Mateo HQ at least 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).

What You'll Do :

• Perform routine tasks required to run HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity and morale, and occupational health and safety.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Run our HRIS (Rippling), maintaining accurate employee records, generating HR reports, and troubleshooting questions as needed.
• Run performance review cycles and employee recognition programs.
• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory trainings.
• Review policies and make recommendations to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Conduct values interviews in the hiring process.
• Run employee onboarding and offboarding programs.
• Proactively stay on top of trends, best practices, new tech, and regulatory changes in HR.
• Embrace a startup mentality and perform other duties as needed.

What You'll Bring :

• 3 years proven experience working as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications.

The California base salary for this full-time position is between $80,000 to $100,000. Your starting salary is determined by factors such as your experience, skills, and qualifications.
