Quality Control Specialist

City Lifestyle is a luxury publishing company headquartered in downtown Kansas City, MO that publishes monthly magazines in a franchise model created exclusively for and about the residents of affluent communities across the country.

We’re looking for a quality control specialist to join our team who is comfortable working independently for extended periods of time.

Organizationally, our quality control specialists are methodical, efficient, and productive and enjoy a systematized workflow that functions smoothly and predictably.

Please note that the first stage in the application process is to complete a Culture Index survey. This should take 8-10 minutes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review editorial content for all magazines by their content deadline each month
• Flag all content contrary to our brand compliance guidelines and determine an appropriate course of correction prior to layout
• Ready magazine files for printer by completing the quality control checks
• Review City Lifestyle digital content submissions daily for appropriateness and necessary digital specifications.
• Handle all change-requests to digital articles

• Enjoys a systematized workflow
• The desire to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to growth within our rapidly expanding company. Self-induced initiative is greatly desired.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Open to constructive criticism.

Job Requirements :

• Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Google Drive and Suites and Airtable
• No working experience is required, but a skills assessment will be conducted
• Residency in Kansas City metropolitan area
• Full time, work from home devices will be supplied
• Overtime exempt
• Driving to onsite cultural activities as requested in downtown KC
• Sitting or standing as preferred for long periods of time in front of a computer
• No travel required
