- Ratios 5 : 1
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients Pneumonia, cellutitis, end of life, elective joint replacement, emergent abdominal surgery, mental health, long term placement
- Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have at least 1 year of acute care RN experience
- Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes
- Common titratable & / or set rate drips Heparin, morphine, fentanyl
- Charge Nurse / House Supervisor Yes
- Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios Yes, 8-10 : 1
- RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) CPap
- Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs?
- RNs read strips? Tele monitoring remotely monitored
- Weekend Requirement EOW
- Holiday Requirement As scheduled
- Is there a call or standby requirement? No
- Floating Requirements May be floated to Tele unit per rotation
- Scrub Color / Dress Code
- Any professional colors
- Unit / Department specific orientation 6 Birch, 1 day orientation
