This position reports to

Director of R&D - Engineer To Order

Your role and responsibilities

Demonstrate solid competence in technologies, tools and methods through solving complex problems. Maintain recognized expertise in specific area by externally reviewing current technologies Design new motor products for medium AC (Alternating Current), DC (Direct Current), variable speed and specialty motors, Design PM and induction motors Actively seek and implement initiatives to improve motor designs and increase customer satisfaction Analyze the effect of design or design changes on other components and authorize part and material substitutions within specified limits while analyzing motor test data as a whole.

Support marketing, sales, manufacturing and interact with customers to solve application problems

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering with minimum 6 years of work experience required
  • Preferred Experience Includes :
  • Customer order engineering - Experience in the design and manufacture of motors and VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives) - Capable of operating FEA design Programs, SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Requires ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) product development.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
