Registered Nurse (RN) - Med / Surg

Job Description\n\nAs a Registered Nurse (RN) in Westfields Hospital & Clinic's Med / Surg department, in collaboration with the attending physician and the health care team, supports and cares for patients in all areas of the critical access hospital. Duties include : \n

• Assesses, admits, transfers or discharges patients and completes all necessary documentation.\n
• Performs basic patient care responsibilities as ordered by the physician and per standards of nursing care, considering age-appropriate needs.\n
• Evaluates the patient's condition and response to treatments, notifying the physician, charge nurse and other care givers as appropriate.\n\nWork Schedule\n
• 40 hours every pay period - .5 FTE\n
• Evening and night shifts\n
• Rotating holidays\n\nRequired Qualifications\n
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin required.\n
• BLS Certification required and ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n
• Experience in EPIC computer system\n
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience, preferably high obs, progressive care, or ICU experience.\n\nBenefits\n
