Certification Details
- Must be AHA BLS certified.
- Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs but you will still upload here (Nursys).
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
- Pharmacology 1,2 exam required.
- Ascension Medical Surgical Exam required.
- Ascension Color Vision test required.
- HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics competency required.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation required.
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed onsite.
- Ascension Nova StatStrip certification required.
- MMR vaccination or Positive IGG Titer required.
- Annual Fit Test required.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or declination to vaccine documentation required.
- Influenza Vaccine required seasonally.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon / Tspot) required for TB testing.
Job Details
- RN Medical / Surgical position available.
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
