Job Duties and Responsibilities

Staff Engineer - DevOps and Cloud Automation sought by DISH Wireless LLC in Littleton, CO.

• Implement an Enterprise Cloud Architecture to power, deploy, and operationalize DISH’s microservices, COTS products and custom applications;
• Design and implements an enterprise scale cloud architecture with focus on scalability, performance, security, and availability;
• Build complex integrations with enterprise systems for Security, Distributed Tracing, Telemetry, and others Work within an agile delivery team to create and customize applications on Cloud native wireless platforms;
• Provide hands on experience with Cloud native architectures, CI / CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, Security, Networking, Observability and Distributed Tracing;
• Build and scale containerized apps by implementing cloud native architecture; Design and build robust CI / CD processes for deployments including infrastructure as code;
• Drive prototyping efforts to evaluate multiple design options and develop recommendations; Develop a platform interface to other systems;
• Enhance existing Tool Chain through internal development and investigation of third party software; Work with product managers to translate case requirements into functional and performance requirements for the platform;

Produce clean, well-documented code, with embedded unit tests, following development standard methodologies; and stay up-to-date on new technologies and produce leadership content.

Job requirements :

Requires : Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field.

Requires 4 years experience in job offered, or as DevOps engineer, or similar, and experience with the following (which may have been gained concurrently :

• AWS, EKS, and CI / CD;
• AWS Services : S3, SNS, SQS, EKS, AWS API Gateway, Lambda, ALBs, NLBs, and EC2;
• Terraform and bash / Python scripting;
• CI / CD tools such as Gitilab-CI, Helm, agroCD, Terraform, and Docker; and
• Designing, implementing operationalizing enterprise-ready container orchestration platforms on Kubernetes and hybrid platforms.

Rate of pay : $152,069.00
