Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Recruiter / Human Resources Generalist to join our team of professionals.This will be a remote, work-from-home position, supporting the HR team and hiring managers across all of our US branch locations.

The primary function of the role will be recruiting but responsibilities will also include : communication, employee relations, requisition management, timekeeping, benefits, and talent management.

Key Responsibilities

The Recruiter / Human Resources Generalist role requires a deep understanding of the building materials and cabinetry industry, particularly in hiring for sales and operations positions.

This person assists managers and employees with recruiting, timekeeping, benefits, hiring, reporting, requisition management, and more.

This is a fully remote position which requires your own home office setting.Visits to a Richelieu branch location may be required occasionally.

  • Lead the recruitment efforts to attract and hire top-tier talent, specifically targeting sales roles within the cabinetmaking or kitchen and bath design and materials sectors
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and our leadership team to understand staffing needs and the specific skills required for various roles within the industry.
  • Must be proficient with using Excel regularly, able to create and maintain spreadsheets, documents, and reports related to requisition management.

Helps to maintain and ensure accuracy for job opening reports and hiring needs.

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, from requisition management to our Applicant Tracking System (Trakstar) through offers and coordinating first day of work.
  • Create and manage job postings, paid job advertisements, external recruitment agencies, sourcing candidates, scheduling and managing interviews, references, and offer letters.
  • Assist with onboarding and new hires, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • May assist with timecard processing, updates to employee files, vacation / sick pay, and benefits changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development to stay informed on relevant industry trends and best HR practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 7 years of human resources, including experience in full-cycle recruitment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required; must be nimble and responsive, able to work in a fast-paced business model
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • HR certification is required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
  • Proven track record of successfully staffing and recruiting for sales positions, with an ability to understand technical roles and industry-specific needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Professional and discreet, able to evaluate and handle complex situations with confidentiality and respect for the employee, laws and regulations regarding employment, and our company

  • Must possess strong critical thinking ability, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently
