About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) :
Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over years.
Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The -bed hospital with over physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment.
Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services.
Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.
The Nurse Manager assumes hours responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations. The Nurse Manager directs, supervises and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and he / she supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department.
The Nurse Manager plans and administers the annual budget in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. The Nurse Manager integrates evidence based practice utilizing the nursing process.
Schedules staff in the most cost effective manner. Proactively plans for future staffing needs by using forecasting data.
Ensures staff schedules are complete and published within the appropriate time frame. Monitors patient classification, patient assignments and reconciliation.
Ensures that the unit is following our systematic method for predicting the numbers and types of required resources and making equitable and safe patient assignments.
Reviews productivity on a daily basis. Takes corrective action to adhere to productivity standards.

Qualifications
- Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- BSN, required
- MSN, preferred
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
- Current ACLS through American Heart Association
- Previous management experience, required
- At least 3 years of experience in area of practice
