The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science of the Mount Sinai Heath System (MSHS) is seeking full-time, part-time and per diem Obstetrical Hospitalists to join our Obstetrical Hospitalist Team!
The Department consists of over 40 full time and voluntary board-certified physicians providing care to the diverse community served by Mount Sinai West.
As a member of the of the MSHS and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are able to offer the professional benefits of a major academic / research medical center.
With over 6,000 deliveries per year, the Department supports 24 residents in a four year residency program and an active teaching program for third-year medical students from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
All OB / Gyn sub-specialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Science.
Responsibilities
We are seeking Obstetrical Hospitalists to join our team. The Obstetrical Hospitalists will be members of the full-time and per diem faculty and will work rotating day, night, and weekend shifts.
Under the direction of the Medical Director of Labor and Delivery, the Obstetrical Hospitalist team will provide in-house obstetrical physician coverage, and provide clinical supervision / oversight for the patients on the Labor floor.
He / she will cover and supervise the care of private / faculty / resident and midwife patients, serve as the attending for residents and midwives (backup) as well as triage emergencies and supervise the care of unregistered patients.
The candidates will be expected to directly work with residents and medical students in labor and delivery, the operating room and the inpatient wards for any admitted Obstetrical patients as the attending physicians.
We are seeking Board Certified, experienced Obstetricians who can provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality, safe and patient-centric care, personalized to each and every patient.
The successful candidate will possess clinical abilities as demonstrated through training, education, certification and experience, strong interpersonal communication, leadership and organizational skills, embrace the teaching mission of Mount Sinai West and the MSHS and qualify for an academic appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
The candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License.

Compensation range from 300K to 330K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
