Requirements for Position Transportation PD&E Senior Project Manager : Applies, plans, designs, directs, manages, organizes, executes, and recommend transportation engineering improvements for Florida DOT, expressway authorities, and local government agencies.
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following :
Provide engineering analyses and design of roadway engineering solutions for projects in Florida.
Oversee and manage Planning and / or Project Development and Environment (including National Environmental Policy Act) studies, projects and activities.
Collaborate with clients, subconsultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
Conduct engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks including collection and analysis of data;
perform routine calculations and participate in evaluating alternate solutions.
Support business development efforts including proposal pursuit efforts.
Help build relationships with key staff of Transportation clients, potential clients, teaming partners and contractors.
Job Requirements for position :
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
Must have active Professional Engineering Registration with the State of Florida.
10-20 plus years of relevant transportation experience in planning and / or project development.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of FDOT procedures and requirements. Specifically, the FDOT Project Development and Environment Manual.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
Valid drivers license with approved / acceptable driving history required.
