Title : Maintenance Manager
Shift : 1st (6 : 30AM- 3PM)
Location : Des Plaines, IL
Hire Type : Direct Hire
Salary : $90K-$100K / YR.
Sterling Engineering is looking for a Maintenance Manager for a manufacturer of plastic components in Des Plaines, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that has great benefits and employee perks.
Job Duties :
- Installs, repairs, and maintains large production machines, attachments, and auxiliary equipment.
- Manages machine PM records.
- Troubleshoots and repairs production machines, including injection molding machines.
- Installs and maintains machine safety devices.
- Maintains OSHA, EPA, and Safety documentation.
- Collaborates with cell members to diagnose and repair issues.
- Works with quality to develop corrective actions.
- Manages maintenance technicians.
- Writes performance appraisals and corrective actions.
- Handles staffing issues, including call-ins, vacations, and overtime.
- Understands and follows core philosophies (USa, 80 / 20, PLS, 5S).
- Documents accident and near-miss reports.
- Follows ISO procedures.
- Handles projects, including budgeting and timelines.
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of experience in the Injection Molding Industry, or similar industry
- Experience in PLCs, Hydraulics, and machine repairs is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Experience with ISO9001 requirements.
- High school diploma or GED
