Please read this entire post before sending application. Thanks in advance. Peer Listing Service (PeerLS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our innovative tech startup.
This role requires a professional with a robust background in full stack development, a passion for creating seamless user experiences, and the ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
As the Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in developing our platform, driving technological advancements, and working closely to lead our small development team during the initial phases of our market entry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and implementation of the PeerLS platform from concept to deployment.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code across the full stack.
- Collaborate with CTO and CEO to define, design, and ship new features.
- Design and oversee the architecture of the platform, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Adapt to and implement changes in technology and business requirements as the startup matures.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Manage and optimize the development process, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Drive continuous improvement in code quality, development processes, and team productivity.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development.
- 3+ years of experience in a lead engineering role, preferably in a startup environment.
- 3+ years of experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- 3+ years of experience with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails).
- 3+ years of experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Continued expansion of knowledge in emerging tech... i.e. AI / ML, AR / VR, RAG, SLM, LLM
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with mortgage tech, prop-tech or fintech platforms.
- Familiarity with AI / ML technologies and their applications in enhancing user experience.
- Experience in developing secure, scalable, and reliable web applications.
- Desire or flexibility to grow into necessary roles as company expands
