Key job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools that redefine the customer journey for Amazon B2B Cobrand Customers.
  • Incorporate customer input and ensure consistency and intuitiveness of our services, building highly available and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Leverage problem-solving skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and simplify complex and ambiguous challenges by utilizing AWS services, cutting-edge strategies, and robust back-end services.
  • Take ownership of the long-term quality and success of your team's products, driving continuous improvement in engineering and operational excellence.
  • Ensure robust engineering practices, including quality design reviews, automated testing and full CICD pipelines.

A day in the life

Your days will be dynamic and impactful. As a hands-on technical lead, you'll collaborate with customers, generate technical designs, and guide projects through the software lifecycle.

You'll develop robust, secure products, mentoring and training engineers with strong leadership skills. Contributing to the technical roadmap, you'll shape our offerings' future direction while tackling complex challenges through innovation and continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of server-side development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in building distributed systems using synchronous and asynchronous communication, with strong object-oriented programming knowledge in languages like Java.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
