Job Description
Overview : Perform a variety of project tasks to support the development of design solutions and project documentation development
Responsibilities :
- Perform assignments that have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables
- Prepare working drawings and related project documents
- Analyze site design and construction systems, design layouts, and construction features, which requires researching, compiling and recording information for assigned project work
- Assist in preparation of project specifications
- Conduct site and construction inspections for information-gathering purposes, preparing interpretive reports for review and approval
- Act as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Carry out research, gather data, and perform analysis and computations to support the development of design solutions
- Prepare detailed design drawings, reports and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadi's requirements and relevant national or local standards and codes of practice
- Liaise with Project Managers / Team leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution
- Further develop understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, of the client’s business and of the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to develop personal credibility in the industry
- May monitor the performance of team members to identify and ensure the resolution of any issues
Qualifications
- Candidates must have University Degree in Architecture or Equivalent from an accredited program
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, and Microsoft OS is a must along with an ability to isolate and define areas of problem-solving and develop different viable solutions
- 2-3 years comparable office experience
- Massachusetts license preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Strong technical knowledge of building construction and thorough understanding of construction documents
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong 2D CAD and Revit experience
- Developing support of construction documentation
- Knowledge of mixed-used, hospitality projects preferred
