Reports To : Maintenance Supervisor

Work Schedule : 2nd Shift - 12 hour shifts -

Position Summary

Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks involving the skills of two or more craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in good repair.

This includes duties such as welding, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, and installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment.

Essential Functions

• Complex Problem-Solving : Identify complex problems, review related information, and develop and implement solutions.
• Technical Skills : Perform routine maintenance on equipment, determine necessary maintenance, and repair machines or systems using appropriate tools.
• Diagnosis : Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Disassembly : Dismantle machines or equipment to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
• Routine Maintenance : Conduct preventive maintenance actions such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
• Troubleshooting : Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Repair Work : Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and precision measuring instruments.
• Assembly and Installation : Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Lubrication and Cleaning : Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Adjustments : Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
• Planning : Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Welding and Cutting : Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
