Role : Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)
Location : Edison, NJ 08818
Shift : 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM, every other weekend required)
Contract Duration : 13 Weeks
Pay : $55 / hr. to $62 / hr.
Responsibilities :
- Provide critical care to patients in emergency situations.
- Assess and prioritize medical and mental health needs for patients of all ages.
- Respond quickly to trauma situations and deliver specialized care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Float within the department as needed (Adult, Peds, IMC).
Requirements :
- Current CPR Health Care Provider Certification (Required).
- Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an ED setting.
- ED experience within the past six months.
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and staff.
Licenses and Certifications Required :
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- BLS (AHA).
- ACLS (AHA).
- NIHSS.
- PALS (AHA).
Preferred Skills / Experience :
- Strong experience with Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI patients.
- Ability to handle a high patient volume (up to 220 patients per day, with up to 20 stroke patients per shift).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment.
