- Unit Name : Orthopedics
- All candidates will need to complete a virtual interview for this role.

- 32 bed fast paced unit.
- Nurse Patient Ratio : 1 : 6; may go up to 1 : 8. Nurses must be willing to take 8 when needed.
- Patient Age Groups : Adults, Geriatric, Outpatient
- Top 10 Diagnosis / Procedures : Total knee replacement, Total hip replacement, Total ankle replacement, Total shoulder replacement, fracture repair, spine surgeries including XLIF, ALIF, TDLF, ACDF, PCDF, microdisc, lamis.
- Common Medications used on the unit : Pain medication, Antibiotics, Anticoagulants, Home medications, Antiemetics, steroids.
- May float to other Med / Surg areas - varies on surgical schedule
Job Requirements
- Line Management / Skills :
- Required : IV Insertion
- Preferred : PICC / Central Line Management
- Ortho / MS / Onc Skills :
- Preferred : Traction, CPM, Epidural / PCA pumps, Feeding Tubes, Wound Vac
- Cardiac :
- Preferred : Remote Tele, Tele Interpretation
- Airway Skills :
- Preferred : CPAP / BiPAP

- For roles with a guarantee, Boone Health can call off staff for up to 36 hours in a contract
