Today we are hiring anexperienced Electrical Engineer for our client In HoustonTX.
NOTE : Our end client willonly consider candidates who are local to Houston (within a onehourcommute).
Up to 10%domestic travel is also required!
Responsibilities :
- Design : Designelectric motor controls for overhead cranes andhoists.
- Application : Apply specifications of Magnetic Motor Starters Relays and ACinverters.
- Support : Assist in all phases of product development engineeringactivities.
- Calculations : Calculate wire sizes / overload protection for cranes up to 800V DCand 4160V AC.
- ProblemResolution : Resolve manufacturing problems bycollaborating with engineers andtechnicians.
- Drawings : Prepare singleline diagrams panel layouts and interconnectdrawings.
- ComponentSpecification : Size and specify purchasecomponents / BOMs based on standards and vendorinformation.
- DesignImprovement : Provide input for design improvementsto enhance functions or reducecosts.
- CircuitModification : Modify / improve existing circuitdesigns asnecessary.
- Collaboration : Work with mechanical engineering and manufacturing for controlsystemdesign.
- Documentation : Develop connection / cable diagrams and general arrangementdrawings.
- FieldSupport : Travel to sites for meetings ortroubleshooting control systems whenrequired.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree
- Previousexperience as an Electrical Engineer isrequired
- Previous experience with ElectricalDesign is required
- Previous experience withMotor Controls is required
- AutoCAD 2016 orZuken E3 experience
- PLC & HMIProgramming experience
- NEC ElectricalCode
- Rockwell Siemens or Danfoss PLC / VFDprogramming experience
- No Visasponsorship
