Position : Vice President, Services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Establish a long-term vision, strategy and roadmap that will directly grow revenue, differentiate against the market, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure alignment with overall company business goals
- Lead the Services team with a focus on enhancing the definition and growth of the solutions in its market as well as SmarTek21 product platforms from an engineering, delivery (including client interface), program management, and technology standpoints
- Interface with clients / prospects to demonstrate our capabilities & offerings and open doors for new business opportunities
- Grow strong relationships with senior clients, counsel clients, and become a trusted advisor
- Deliver expert analysis of existing and planned applications within client businesses
- Provide assessments of applications to ensure alignment with strategic business goals
- Oversee the development of high-level software solutions through outstanding functional / technical expertise and enterprise business system / industry requirements
- Oversee the design for updated business processes, including the assessment of the capabilities of existing procedures
- Primarily drive the group’s vision; oversee the development and management of the solutions’ roadmap based on the adopted strategies and vision
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other departments to direct the entire application implementation lifecycle from design, coding and testing to final deployment to guarantee meeting of all specifications
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and industry, anticipating and addressing opportunities and issues as they arise
- Bring in a culture of Centre of Excellence, propose solutions requirements and solutions development programs; prepare return-on-investment analysis;
establish time schedules with engineering and other stakeholders
- Provide leadership and direction across the entire software development lifecycle including architecture, development, testing and support (application / infrastructure) and build a culture of accountability to meet business objectives and goals
- Develop staff members through coaching and fostering a positive work environment
- Attract, grow, engage and retain talent
- Ensure skill up-gradation and career planning for team members and provide mentoring continually; ensure tight governance with effective status reporting to clients and the management team
- Partner with other departmental leaders and collaborate with cross functional teams in order to align and execute strategies that are necessary for business success
- Be responsible for functional budgets and schedules within the group to meet Company requirements
- Contribute towards inter-professional team-based care in Delivery practice
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelors / master’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or an equivalent in working experience
- 20+ years of progressive experience in engineering, delivery, solution management, program management, and technology
- At least 8-10 years working in leadership within IT professional service delivery in complex / matrix environments
- Experience in managing teams of 300+ across the entire software development lifecycle including architecture, development, testing, and support (application / infrastructure)
- Experience in one or more digital technology areas such as Cloud, DevOps, Web App Development, Mobile app development, UI / UX, etc
- Superior leadership, communication, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strategically minded, with ability to identify areas for business improvement and growth
- Proven track record of consistently delivering high-impact results to meet clients’ needs
- Superior qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to analyze information / data and various metrics to develop an informed and factual business case
- Strong financial analytical capabilities that are used to further develop informed solutions strategies, which subsequently improves solutions performance
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
- Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
- Demonstrated experience in people management from leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
- Experience in skill upgradation and career planning for team members (technical and non-technical staff)
- Demonstrated experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- The entrepreneurial background would be desirable though not necessary
- Diverse experience across both small and large services and product companies would be a big plus
