Position Summary :
The Clinical Neuromuscular Adaptation Laboratory is seekinga part-time Lab Technician. This project aims to develop an ultrafastultrasound imaging technique that quantifies motor unit mechanics and musclecontractile properties.
The candidate will involve the human experiments tocollect biosignals and will conduct data analysis. The candidate will alsoattend group meetings and discuss results with the advisor.
In addition, thecandidate will help with designing engineering tools, conducting technical evaluationsof hardware and software, and troubleshooting and fixing issues.
The requiredbackground includes but is not limited to electronic / mechanical design,MATLAB / Python / C programming, signal processing, and human physiology.
Essential Functions :
- Assisting with collecting biosignals.
- Conducting data analyses in MATLAB, Python, C, etc.
- Preparing a meeting presentation.
- Assisting with preparing a conference abstract and apeer-reviewed manuscript.
- Solving technical issues.
Prerequisite Qualifications :
- Strong background in electronic / mechanical design, MATLABprogramming, signal processing, and human physiology.
- At the university's discretion, the education andexperience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate tothe satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education andexperience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
