The opportunity
A unique opportunity to join Silverchain is now available as we progress our digital ambitions! We are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Care Information and Analytics to join us on a permanent full-time basis.
The Manager, Care Information and Analytics will lead the development and implementation of systems to improve care data collection, design, management, quality, governance and analytics capability across Silverchain.
The role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, Silverchain is flexible with working location, we are looking for the perfect person for the role and are happy to support applicants from either Vic, WA, SA, NSW or QLD.

Key responsibilities
The major accountabilities of this position are below :
- Create, manage and govern a Minimum Data Set (MDS) for Silverchain with an initial focus on care data.
- Support the design, implementation process and ongoing management of the digital care systems (electronic care record, client relationship manager and others) by ensuring the MDS, client related data standards and data collection business rules are incorporated and regularly reviewed.
- Ensure digital tools such as the electronic care record align with the MDS and participate in appropriate digital forums to achieve this.
- Coordinate the implementation and operation of the Care Documentation Governance system for Silverchain, working with research, safety and quality and clinical experts.
- Provide leadership and advice in the key development areas of;
- Costing of Care delivery (activity-based unit costing)
- Development of measures of care, client outcomes, client demographics and client complexity
- Development of measures, analytical approaches and reporting for Best Care outcomes and alignment with relevant standards
- Development of measures, analysis and reporting for service delivery performance, research and innovation
- Care data quality and data quality assurance activities
- Champion the use of the MDS across the organisation and drive the concept that high quality data "is everyone's business."
- Collaborate with academic partners to implement and test patient reported outcome and experience measures.
About you
To be successful in this role, your previous skills and experience will match up with the below requirements :
- Doctorate or Post Graduate qualification in health or social science, or significant equivalent experience in conducting data and information system development, analytics, system improvement and evaluation programs.
- Significant health information management experience at senior level in healthcare or other public healthcare related industry.
- Demonstrated substantial experience in the production of advanced reports to design and manage MDS requirements for the business.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and listening) to effectively consult with key stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings to a wide audience.
- Demonstrated well developed conceptual, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Significant knowledge of the Community Care Data landscape with respect to variables, screening, assessment, patient reported measures and validated outcomes.
- Experience of presenting and discussing information to groups of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly.
- Ability to interpret health and social care policy and data and implement this within projects across a complex care system.
