Weekly Pay Range - $3062 To $3402 Job Title : Schedule Board Coordinator Job Specialty : Registered Nurse Manager - Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 4x10-Hour (06 : 00 - 16 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum three years of Operating Room Nursing work experience and one year of Nursing supervisory work experience License : Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois Certifications : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university Must-Have : Significant experience in management, including having direct reports, evaluations, scheduling, and running the OR schedule with Anesthesia.
Job Description : Manage and supervise the Operating Room (OR) and staffing requirements.- Collaborate with Anesthesia and the Perioperative Services Director in the daily running of the surgical schedule.
- Work with Nurse Coordinators, surgeons, and staff to ensure high utilization of the OR.- Ensure that lunches and breaks are provided to staff and that room turnovers meet established goals.
- Make recommendations to Nurse Coordinator IIs on matters affecting quality of patient care and nursing practice.- Serve as a professional leader and function as a resource to department staff and other leaders.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.- Review Collective Bargaining, Discipline, Supervisory, and Management responsibilities, and Quality initiatives.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with diverse cultures and age groups.
- Utilize analytical and organizational skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict management / resolution abilities.
- Adhere to department policies and standards utilizing best practices.- Train staff by presenting concepts and demonstrating tasks.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
