Position Information Position Title Reading Instructor (Continuous Adjunct Pool) Position Description POSITION SUMMARY :
This is a POOL position. Application materials for this part-time position are accepted on an on-going basis. As openings for temporary, part-time reading instructors become available, candidates may be selected from this pool of applicants.
Required Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, cultural background, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff.
Master’s in education with a specialization in reading or teaching reading
Bachelor’s in any academic discipline
Twelve semester units of course work in teaching reading
Master’s in English, literature, linguistics, applied linguistics, composition, comparative literature, TESL or psychology
OR the equivalent.
