Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Support

DescriptionThis Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Support position is a 0.7 FTE with 8-hour Evening / Night shifts during the weekdays.

This RN will be required to work 12-hour shifts, 7 : 00pm-7 : 00am every 3rd Sat / Sun.Purpose of positionThis position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients, advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and / or provide skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.

Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams.

Compensation & Benefits InformationThe hourly wage for this opportunity is $39.83 - $66.41. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field, education, and certification / licensure : $1.

75weekend / $2.75 evening / $4.00 night differential is available for this position. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.

QualificationsRequiredDocumentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program)Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of NursingCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (exception : Telehealth RNs).

If candidate holds valid CPR for through another acceptable organization (as determined by Gillette), candidate may be able to begin employment but must complete Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association within one month of employment.

Must be interested in working with people with short term or long-term disabilities that begin in childhood.Physically able to work hours required and meet physical demands of the position.

In certain departments, this will include being part of the off-premises call schedule.PreferredBachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare related fieldPrior nursing experience in a health-related settingNursing Specialty Certification relevant to the position.
