A 170-bed with a level II trauma unit is seeking a pediatric hospitalist for locum tenens coverage. There is not an actual peds department, they just share the med surg floor with adults.
Anything too acute is shipped out. The facility is located about 1 hour north of Bakersfield, CA. The schedule is 24-hour call with some in-house included.
There will be very light practice, rounding and admitting, and high-risk deliveries. There are no circs.
