Job Description
As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking several full-time Special Education Teachers to provide in-person instruction to public school students.
Either EBD or Work-Based Certification is required, depending on specific position.
These positions are for the upcoming school year.
Special Education Teacher Position Details :
EBD Certification required : 3 positions available
- Center based-Elementary Students
- Center based-Middle School Students
- Center based-High School Students
Work Based Certification required : 1 position available
- High School students
- 50 / 50 on two high school campuses
Special Education Teacher Qualification(s) :
- Minnesota state teaching license
- School certification for the state of Minnesota
- EBD or Work-Based certification, depending on specific position
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Special Education Teacher Responsibilities May Include :
- Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievement
- Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the data
- Establishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
