Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Analyst, Pricing and Portfolio Strategy to join our Insurance Finance Management team.

About the role

The Senior Analyst, Pricing and Portfolio Strategy supports developing on strategies to achieve team or larger organization targets.

The Senior Analyst, Pricing and Portfolio Strategy has a focus on using data-driven approaches and partnering with teams to develop and implement strategies.

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning works with leadership to identify and address challenges, develop long-term strategies, and contribute to important decisions impacting the organization.

You will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Pay Transparency :

The base pay for this role is : $76,800 - $100,800 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Craft recommendations using a data-driven approach combined with business for senior executives to make pricing decisions that affect our growth and bottom-line
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Regional Leaders, Plan Design and Sales teams to develop a winning portfolio strategy for each Oscar market
  • Identify and research profitability tradeoffs, market trends, and membership insights to help drive company-wide strategic decisions
  • Support build models and tooling that produce actionable business insights, including membership scenario modeling
  • Support development of activity based financial models to support finance and business strategic initiatives
  • Report intra-year membership analytics to leadership to understand health of the business
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or 4+ years commensurate experience
  • 1+ years experience in consulting, corporate strategy, market development, finance, or a related field
  • 1+ years experience in Excel and Powerpoint, demonstrating proficiency in building models and generating reports, analyzing large datasets, using pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting.
  • 1+ years Experience synthesizing and summarizing findings through data visualizations and effective storytelling
  • 1+ years experience running data and financial analyses and working cross-functionally to drive opportunities and increase growth & profitability
  • 1+ years experience in constructing presentation materials aimed at Senior Leadership

Bonus points

  • Healthcare experience and an understanding of provider / payer market, particularly in the ACA marketplace, is strongly preferred
  • Management consulting, market research, or data analysis experience
  • Experience with Tableau

Pay Transparency : Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
