Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Design Project Manager to work with our Seattle team, and partner with a global technology client, supporting designs for new and existing Data Center construction builds.
The Design Project Manager should have an architectural background in the construction industry and be experienced in Design / Architecture / Civil works.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provides support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director, with frequent interaction with the Owner / Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors.
- Directly assists the Project Manager(s) in managing, coordinating, and administering the project through all phases of design and construction.
- Responsible for ensuring all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level to address the client’s needs.
- Aids in the preparation of documents (reports, schedules, invoices, RFI’s, submittals, meeting minutes / agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout, and client presentations) for programming, design, and construction, and assists in maintaining information in project management software.
- Coordinates to schedule meetings with the project team as directed by the Project Manager(s).
- Communicates conceptual designs and creates / maintains project documentation before, during, and after construction.
- Maintains Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements.
- Reviews and informs design RFPs.
- Manages external design consultants through the design and construction process.
- Effectively communicates design standards to internal and external project partners.
- Manages multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
- Thinks outside of the box to find innovative solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.
Qualifications
- College Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Experience working in Project Management on large-scale construction programs.
- Experienced in Design / Architecture / Civil works.
- Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to be highly effective in a client-facing role.
- Team player; ability to work collaboratively.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$180K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
