General Summary of Position

Unit Highlights

Nurses on 2Ccare for variety of acutely ill medical- surgical and behavioral health adultsand their families. Patients on thisunit are admitted with a variety of diagnoses as well as behavioral healthdiagnoses.

It is a great unit to gain experience as a medical-surgical nurseand be exposed to a wide variety of nursing skills and patient populations.

The2C nurses work closely with the hospitalists, psychiatry, medical-surgicalresidents, physical / occupational therapists, and social workers with the goalof providing safe and high- quality care to our patients.

Nurses seek toimprove care for medical-surgical and behavioral health patients throughnurse-led, evidence-based principles, tools, and education.

This 31-bedunit is a great place to become an expert Med / Surg nurse and be exposed to avariety of surgical nursing skills.

The staff and nurses on 4C are highlyskilled, motivated, and committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.

You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
